Saguaro Cactus Hoops
Saguaro Cactus Hoops
The Saguaro Cactus is found exclusively in the Sonoran Desert. They are very slow growing, and it is estimated that they can live up to 200 years. Saguaros are lined with protective spines, which are what is etched on these great hoops. I had the opportunity to see these beautiful cacti in Arizona and it was amazing. Carry a bit of nature with you everywhere you go!
Each pair of hoops is made one at a time by hand. The metal is cut out, etched, formed into hoops and then cut down to size and a post is soldered on. For the silver hoops, a dark patina is added and then each piece is carefully polished to make that lovely texture pop.
The gold hoops are first made in sterling silver and then are plated with 14k gold. These pieces are gold vermeil.
The wide hoops measure 8mm wide x 1.5mm thick and have an overall diameter of about 15mm. The skinny version measures 6mm wide x 1.5mm thick with an overall diameter of 15mm. The most perfect size to hug your earlobe.
Please note that the wide birch bark hoops are modeled here for scale. More photos coming soon! Please reach out if you have questions, I am happy to help.
Gold vermeil pieces are ready to ship. Sterling silver pieces are made to order, please allow one week for shipping.
